Udeni, the production engineer on the Captain platform.

Udeni is one of two engineers on board the platform. He is the production Engineer and it is his job to maximise the output of crude oil from the wells.

Udeni has a degree in Chemical Engineering from Edinburgh University and a Masters degree in Petroleum Engineering from Heriot Watt University.

As with many of the technical staff, he is still quite young. With no family ties, the high salary will give him a good start to his career in the oil industry,

The other engineer is Cathy . She is the process engineer. She is in charge of the plant that separates the crude oil mixture into its various components. Like Udeni, Cathy has a degree in Chemical Engineering but from the University of Strathclyde.

Cathy is one of the women on the offshore platform. As process engineer, she has a senior role.

She is responsible for the effective and efficient separation of the crude oil mixture that comes from the wells. First, the water and sand have to be removed. Then the oil and gas are separated.

As with many of the technical staff, she is still quite young. The high salary will give her a good start to her career in the oil industry,
